Prof. Alexander Link will be visiting us to tell us more about his work on translational gastroenterology research, particularly the molecular mechanisms of inflammation and cancer development in the gastrointestinal tract, as well as the role of the microbiome in preventing and treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases. His clinical work centers on developing new diagnostic biomarkers, microbiome-based therapies such as fecal microbiota transplantation, and advanced interventional endoscopy techniques for patients at increased risk of tumors.
